We traveled full-time for over a year across North America, Europe, and Africa with a hard-sided rooftop tent on our van. From relentless UK rain to Sahara sandstorms, we learned what worked—and what failed. Ours was the factory-direct "Alibaba" tent popular across the internet which worked great for the first several months. But eventually it leaked on our kids, suffered broken hinges and seals and we were constantly making our own repairs. As we learned the concept so intimately, we decided to engineer our own product from the ground up.
The Nest is the only publicly available hard-sided roof tent, privately owned and operated in the USA, backed by a comprehensive U.S. warranty, domestic operations, and over a year of full-time field testing. No overseas gambling. No ghosted emails. Just a world-class, four-season tent backed by a team that actually lived in one for more than a year.

Expansive Interior
The Nest utilizes dual scissor hinges to provide a true vertical lift. This design creates an expansive interior sleep area measuring 78.7" L x 55.1" W with a uniform 38.2" of headroom from edge to edge. You get a spacious, cabin-like feel that is completely outfitted with a comfortable 5 cm high-density foam mattress and built-in low-profile LED lighting. This space almost DOUBLES the typical van build living/sleeping area.

Seamless Heating & Cooling Duct Integration
Take your van's (or any vehicle) climate control to the roof with our upgraded ducting capability. We offer a ducting kit that allows for dedicated heating and cooling integration directly through the floor of the tent. Instead of relying on passive heat rising from the van cabin, you can actively pump climate-controlled air into your rooftop suite for ultimate comfort in freezing alpine conditions or hot desert summers. We can also pre-install a roof fan, and solar panels before shipping your unit. All of our tents come with one on one installation help and guidance, we will be holding your hand throughout the entire process.

What vehicles is The Nest compatible with, and how does it mount? The Nest is compatible with Sprinter, Transit, and ProMaster vans. It can also be configured for overlanding trucks and other vehicles. The Nest is designed to be mounted on roof racks or can be installed on Sprinter factory rails. All purchases come with expert installation guidance.
How much weight will this add to my van's roof? The Nest is built with a carbon fiber construction that maximizes durability and eliminates additional weight. This design protects your critical payload capacity and GVWR. The unit weighs 245 lbs.
How much space is inside the tent when it is open? The interior sleep area measures 78.7" L x 55.1" W x 38.2" H (2000 x 1400 x 970 mm). Because the tent uses dual scissor hinges to achieve a true vertical lift, it eliminates the cramped foot space of wedge tents and provides uniform vertical headroom.
How tall is the tent when it is closed for travel? When fully closed, the exterior is incredibly low-profile, measuring just 6.5 inches (165mm) thick.

Is The Nest covered by a warranty? Yes, The Nest is backed by a 2-Year Briles Adventure Co. Warranty. This covers all composite structures, scissor mechanisms, and hardware. The Warranty doesn’t cover user error, holes in the panel walls and damage done by neglect.
